I live in Middletown, work in New Haven and am trying to find an indoor range for regular practice shooting. At the moment it would be .22 but I'm sure I'll end up with a 9mm and a .45 at some point, so prefer a range that is flexible.

At this time I'm not interested in the social aspects or events/functions/competitions - just looking for a place to go to improve technique and get some experience.

I work a fairly busy schedule and finding a place close to my home would be ideal. Cannot carry at work so I wouldn't be in a position to stop there on my way home.

I like the idea of rentals as I don't know what I'm going to end up with for a carry gun and wouldn't mind trying a few.

Any thoughts are welcome.

For a rental situation, you can stop by Chris' Indoor Range in Guilford after work. I don't know every gun he offers, but call and inquire.

Bridgeport SR also has rentals, but that's a bit out of route.

Once you have your own, I don't know if the cost and hours of operation are practical, but that's your call.

Silver City in Meriden is an option for indoor (.22 only) shooting.

Glastonbury's DEP range is priced right and fairly close by, but hours are very limited and only Sat/Sun once it reopens.
