I think I mentioned elswhere that I have gotten pretty friendly with a DEP/Ranger type over the past few years. He said there is monuntain lions but the state wont admit until they have too. They dont want to scare residents.
Yeah mountain lions thats our biggest fear in New Haven. LOL |

We have them around our place all of the time. The damn things sound like a baby crying at certain times of the season.
Bears I can deal with.
Cats, I can't. They will stalk you, and kill you for the hell of it. The worst part is, you'll NEVER see them coming if they're really after you.
The second I shoot one, I'll post pics. |

The DEP guy described personally hearing the "baby crying" as well.
Heck we had a Bobcat in my old ladies parents yard in Seymour last winter. It's like "Am I really seeing that".
On the down side we dont see flying squirrels any more. |

Cougars are in CT.
One was killed in Southern CT recently.
My wife saw one in our back yard last year.
I saw one run in front of the car this April. |

Take a five minute ride to Algonquin Forest, and we'll get you set up.
