Don't quote me, but he tends to run high. Used to be around $38 to $45 per pound. You can always offer less, I suppose; he might haggle.

That is F'n crazy! I have not seen any for sale in a couple years but that is scalping! Retail is $28

Yes. Similar pricing at Grouse Perch in Old Saybrook back during the heyday. Can't say where they're pricing powders now.
Just a block away at Wal-Mart, they sell them more reasonably, but they've been out of powders for over a year now. I guess bargain pricing on an unavailable item is useless, too.

One pond containers were $29. Last year he had them for about $25. I have not seen any in a year so the $30 was no big deal for a one time purchase. But, as I pointed out a while back, he has 325 round boxes of Federal Automatch for $50, that's F outrageous. Grouse perch had same box of Federal a little while ago for $20.
