I would get a 9mm. I got rid of my 40. My 45's seem to have less kick than to 40 did. Thats my 2 cents.

I would rent one of each caliber and try them before making a decision.

Personally I have mostly 9mm and will skip 40 and go to 45 in the future since I want to get into 1911s. But that is JMO.

Try them both. The 40SW recoil doesnt bother me at all but thats me.
Shit I like the 45 too plus with a 40sw glock you can get 9mm and or 357 sig conversion barrels if thats your thing.
