Connecticut: New Britain Ends Concealed Carry Ban
On Wednesday, September 12, the New Britain Common Council voted 13-0 to approve a city ordinance allowing individuals with a State Permit to Carry Pistols and Revolvers to carry concealed in that city.
Prior to Wednesday’s vote, New Britain was the only city in Connecticut requiring residents to carry their pistols and revolvers in plain sight. This revised ordinance, currently awaiting Mayor Tim O’Brien’s expected signature, brings New Britain into alignment with the rest of Connecticut.
We thank the New Britain Common Council for approving this pro-gun reform, and we look forward to examining opportunities in the upcoming legislative session to further ensure firearm and ammunition laws are uniform throughout the state.
Thanks to the efforts for CCDL ..
