Surprisingly, they're not the problem! For some god-unknown reason, the Federal (small primer) .45 has flash-holes that are just a teeny bit tight every once in awhile. The Blazer cases you automatically know are in the sizing die as soon as the head comes down... those things are a pain. :(

That's the reason I stopped using my RCBS decapper. I was sick of bending pins. I ended up getting a Lee one. The pin slides upwards if it feels abnormal resistance.

Yes, those quirks turn up here and there. Similar experiences with the Igman (Hotshot) 6.5x55. The first decapping pulls the pin out of the decap stem. Just run a drill bit in them to open them up a tad and that settles that.
