Can't address the price issue, but some just don't warm up to the Mannlicher type stocks. They aren't ugly to all.

If you want a cheap 10/22, stop looking at the most expensive one in the lineup. The two things above are adding almost $200 to the price of a base 10/22.


If you like the Mannlicher stock, but don't want to spend this much, they offer it in a grey, laminated version. Quite nice. NGX sells them for $289.

Okay, I caved. I do actually like it now. Seeing the whole WWII reference now. I can appreciate it on that level. Didnt even occur to me before. Thanks for the price reasoning too. Wonder how they feel vs standard setup.

edit: If I got one, Id destroy the appearance with an angled or collapsible foregrip.
