Nobody speaking at a hearing in the Legislature's Judiciary Committee Thursday could remember a time when a person in Nebraska was charged with killing an intruder in his or her home.
So committee members had lots of questions for supporters of a bill (LB889) that would change when a person is justified in using deadly force to protect against an intruder in the home, workplace or occupied vehicle.
