VERNON — - Police arrested two men for allegedly burglarizing a gun store on Talcottville Road early this morning.
Jonathan Wilson, 25, and Andrew Joseph Yost, 20, broke into a unit next door to Steve's Guns and broke a hole in a wall they believed would lead them into the store, police said. Instead, the hole they made led to the outside of the building.
No guns were stolen, police said.
The suspects are charged with third-degree burglary, second-degree criminal mischief, conspiracy to commit third-degree burglary and sixth-degree larceny.
A burglar alarm summoned police officers at 2:31 a.m. and police called the store owner. The store owner, on his way to his business, noticed two men dressed in black walking on Windsor Avenue, police said.
He called the police and confronted the two men, one of whom he believed had been in the store a couple of days before. The two men were identified as Wilson and Yost. An investigation determined they were responsible for the burglary, police said.
