John,

I have been told (by a very reliable source) that reloading data for .308 winchester can be used for 7.5 swiss. As with any new re loading adventure start at the lowest powder charge from a reliable reload manual, and work your way up. Note any signs of pressure and act accordingly.

thanks tom, i guess i have a bunch of data for that, i hope to get a load going for it by the spring and the first rifle reloading i've done, nothing like jumping in at the deep end :)

Just be careful and follow the directions and you'll do fine. Always ask questions, and be safe. A load I particularly like is 40 grains of 4895, with a 168 gr boattail hollow point. The 40 grains of 4895 will work just fine with 147 grainer bullet. Look for signs of pressure, as your loading manual indicates. The lyman reloading manual is a good refrence book.
