I have a S&W 67-1 .38 special revolver (70's or early 80's) that is malfunctioning. Suddenly the cylinder does not lock in and when I can get it to lock in, the trigger doesn't want to pull back.

I am not the original purchaser and am wondering if they will cover it under warranty service? I can probably bring it back to the shop I bought it at but like it and would rather get it repaired than taking a chance of just getting my money back.

Not covered under warranty, I called them last week about my model 66, but the repair estimate was reasonable
