I'm looking for a recommendation for a good red dot sight for my wife's Ruger 22/45 lite. I've never used a red dot and could really use the help.

I own 2 Ultra Dots that I use for Bulls eye pistol. Might be a bit more than you want to spend for plinking.
I also have a cheap, like $20 off ebay cheap, BSA red dot I had on my MKIII for awhile. Works fine on a 22.

I'm not looking to make a large investment. I'll take a look at what ebay has to offer.

Sure, if a low end dot fits your needs why not. I still have my BSA, works well.

Have you considered a reflex sight? I just bought one on Amazon for $39 for my new Browning Buckmark. It's real easy to point and shoot. It has 4 different reticle options and shows up in either red or green. (User selectable)
