I just picked up a new Beretta 92FS and I'm looking to buy some magazines. I'm completely new to this platform so I need some help. Are OEM mags the way to go? How is the quality of aftermarket mags? Any brands to avoid? I'm leaning toward the flush fit 18 rounders from Mec Gar. Any experience with these?

I have only used Beretta or military mags, the couple of unknowns that got in the mix over the years tended to get thrown out fairly quickly.

I still use my original 2 Beretta mags that came with the gun in 1983, something to think about.

I recall the factory magazines being cheaper than Mec Gar's if you shop around. I bought a shit load of them from Botach Tactical of all places. Yep I risked it LOL.

I also bought Mec Gar at Top Gun Supply. They funtion perfectly in my early 90'2 92FC
