Never heard of or have seen this before. Could come in handy for a simple camping trip or an emergency situation.

I thought it was pretty cool. If they weren't so much, I wouldn't mind having a "tree house" on the roof of my car. :P

In all seriousness, I would like to try one out. Is there another option, if your car is useless..thinking EMP strike, and you have to move out? Great camping option though. :D Just watched the VID..great concept, keeps you off of the ground. Wonder how wind resistant it would be ??

I quess the other option would be just a basic tent. In an emp strike it would render cars and this tent useless to use on the go.
There was another option of tent style that would keep you off the ground. I can't remember the name at the moment. The tent tethered between three trees using ratchet straps to pull it all tight and suspended. I'll see if I can find the link and I'll post it up.

I'm going light..Hammock and a Poncho. The Stingray concept possibly is an off development from Alpinists who sleep on the side of freak'n mountains..yikes! And of course you couldn't use these in CT, due to the regulatory crap of not being allowed to tie anything off of trees..in State Campgrounds anyway. Pretty cool though..not too sure if I could sleep well in it though..If the tents a fly'n don't be spy'n :!:
