QUANTICO, Va. (AP) - One of the safest places for deer during hunting season happens to be the sprawling grounds of the FBI Academy near Fredericksburg.
The home of the FBI's most elite forces and training programs doubles as a wildlife refuge where deer, fox, wild turkeys, groundhogs and vultures roam, fearless and free.
The animals are not targeted, despite near-constant training for some of the nation's best marksmen who fire off more than 1 million bullets every month.
