All the emails and calls made the difference.
Way to go everyone!!! 8)
The following from Coalition of Ct. Sportsman

Through all your efforts, the Ban on “High Capacity” Magazines SB 1094 died today in Judiciary Committee. The “Castle Doctrine” bill met the same fate. Yesterday the Judiciary Committee Meeting JF Agenda for today neither bill was listed but it could have been added. It was not, and since the deadline was today at 5PM and not addressed, the bill is DEAD. Your efforts by e-mail, letters, phone calls and personal contact carried the day. Late developments indicated we had the votes to defeat the bill if it had been added to the Agenda.

Many individuals, clubs and organizations testified at the public hearing and testimony was impressive, communications were outstanding, and personal involvement significant. Special thanks go to the National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF) and NSSF’s Jake McGuigan who actively lobbied on a daily basis, coordinated support from manufacturers, and initiated radio ads along with other important efforts. Equally commendable was the daily presence of Ray Hanley (Bristol F&G), and efforts by Andrew Jennison, our new NRA state liaison. This was truly a joint effort by all involved and your efforts were noted by legislators (both sportsmen supportive and otherwise)

Follow-up on the bill requires a THANK YOU to legislators. This is equally as important as the information you provided.

From CCS, Thank You. There can be no doubt that communications with legislators is a large and effective part of the legislative process.

Excellent news! Appreciation goes out to all who took the time too make their position known and stood for all our freedom.

Definitely follow up with your legislators. A thank you and a message that any further non-sense "gun control" or attempts to widdle away at our Constitutional Rights will be met with the same opposition.

While the bill named SB-1094 is dead, the mag ban itself is mortally wounded, but not dead. There is still a chance they will ammend it to another bill at the last minute. So do write those thank yous, but make sure you also let them know we're still paying attention.
