Is there any public Shotgun range in Southern CT where you don't need membership but just can pay as you go type?

Look into the Branford Gun Club, just a bit south of the Exit 56 area.They hold public matches that include trap shooting. Not really what you seek, but you might get some further insights to what's available locally.

Wooster Mountain / Pahquioque Rod and Gun Club has public trap on Tuesday's from 10AM until dark, at the edge of Danbury right up route 7 from Norwalk.

I believe weekend are pistol/rifle only (slugs only for shotguns) unless you get permission from the range officer.

You can shoot bird/buck at Wooster, just not at their frames. You only need permission for pistol gripped shotguns.
