Cubeta's Field & Stream is a gun and fishing shop on the highway in Middlefield.

I stop there once in a while to get through the winter.

They have some neat old guns like a couple of Bullseye Match Targets!

Lyman's Blue Trail Range Gunshop is not that far away and they have more guns than Cubeta's. Both are worth the ride.

I live a couple of miles from Cubeta's, which is now called New England Stream And Field. Bought my first pistol there and found the sales people extremely nice and helpful, but the place has about a third of the inventory that it had a year ago.

They do specialize in outdoor sports - archery, fishing, hunting so the inventory has always been different from a place that carries a ton of self defense items.

If you travel quite a ways then you may regret the trip but if you're in the area, it's worth swinging by.

I read elsewhere that NE F&S was closed and the guns transfered to the Blue Trail gunshop.

Too bad if its true.

Yeah, I heard that. Sad as this was one of the best firearm stores in CT during the 90's.

I bought my first rifle there in 1989!!

I used to love Cubeta's. I didnt go for a few years and then took a friend about two years ago. I was shocked at how little they had. As stated above these guys were great at one time. I used to drool over a Colt Ace on display
