Buffalo Bore is GOOD ammunition, but a little stout for my tastes. I have a couple boxes of their .44 Mag laying around (300gr? I'll have to check in the cabinet) that we used to blow off. Even out of a 7.5'' Redhawk it was a wrist-twister.

I have a partial box of the 500gr. .45-70's that they made too (got these in a trade about a year ago). There are exactly 17 shells in that box.

I fired THREE, and that was it. I am not big enough, nor tough enough to withstand that pummeling. Mind you, my 1895 has a steel buttplate.

When the Chinese invade the U.S. by elephant, I will then pull that box out of the cabinet, and save the day. Until then, I absolutely refuse to shoot it.

(Never had a failure with any of Buffalo Bore's ammo though!)

Elephant?
Hey, you never know...

But yes. These particular shells are ungodly stiff. I don't even know why I have a .45-70...

I thought that type of invasion would come from India.

That's only phase one of the operation. Notice all of the gas stations...
