I'm not entirely sure if this is the right place to put this, but I'm a little confused about how CT stands on automatic knives, so bear with me here.
The way I've interpreted the law so far, is that you can OWN an automatic knife, but it cannot be carried OUTSIDE of your property (unless the blade is less than 1.5'' long). I've gathered that even transporting them locked in a case, and in your trunk is every bit as bad as transporting a pistol without a permit (still a felony charge!!!).
Now... here's the problem I'm running into. Places that sell auto-knives (such as Tactical Arms) can legally SELL them to you. By chance you purchase one (that is longer than the carry-legal 1.5'')... how on earth do you get it home without running afoul of the law (unless you're an Explorer/EMT/Fireman).
I'm just trying to get a couple different thoughts going.
