The best way to remove lead from a gun barrel?

I shot some Nutmeg lead .45 ACP reloads the other day and when I cleaned my gun I found some lead deposits I can't seem to get out. I've scrubbed and run Hoppies Number 9 patches thru it til I'm blue in the face. The Birchwood Casey Gun Scrubber spray won't touch it either... :( One of my friends recommended a Lewis Lead Cleaner. I was hoping to try a chemical solution before I dropped the $35-$40 for the LLC. Any thoughts?

Get an old bore brush and wrap it with COPPER chore boy make sure the barrel is DRY!!! You should see the lead particles come out! Cheaper then lead remover.

I have one of those electric things you stick down the barrel, comes out spotless, let me know if you need a hand
