Hi everyone,
Wanted to know if there is any Walmarts here in CT that sells shotguns and from your experience what kind of selection they have or if they have a catalog to look at so you can order.
Thanks in advance.

I know there has been news about WMT bringing back long gun sales, but I don't know of any stores in CT that have started stocking and selling them as yet (but that doesn't mean it won't happen here in CT).
Old Saybrook seems to be a gun-friendly Wal-Mart (based solely on the fact that they even stock limited reloading supplies), but I haven't seen a gun cabinet there yet.
We'll have to wait and see, I guess.

I know the one in Torrington sells shotguns and rifles, Just two turn tables full not an arsenal by any means.

Ours in Torrington never stopped selling guns and ammo.

Guess someone figured out it would be a really dumb move.

The had an online catalog at one time, you could order pretty much any of the big name rifles, I haven't looked recently.

CTSixShot said something about the Old Saybrook Walmart selling shotshell components, so it's likely they probably sell longarms as well.

I love how the Torrington Walmart is carrying holsters, handgun cleaning kits, handgun accessories... but won't touch handguns.

How's their prices compared to the local gun stores?
Are they cheap enough to justify driving from east hartford to purchase or look at.
Thanks for the replies.

I'd give them a call b4 heading to OS. I was in there within the past month, but just don't recall seeing long guns...maybe I just didn't notice them.

While in OS, I suppose you could also stop into the North Cove store. http://www.northcove.com/ They sell guns and ammo, but I don't suspect it is a bargain rate shop. Don't know!

North Cove is premium pricing.

Walmart is average for long guns, great ammo pricing.

Truthfully, Walmart's (Torrington's) prices for ammo are awesome.

But this being said, I remember getting Nutmeg 9mm ammo from NW Sporting goods for IIRC 10.50 a box... so...

(That, and the prices on their guns are usually quite a bit better than Wal-Mart's).
