Changed my mind again!
I figured hey, why not have TWO barrels I can monkey around with???
So, I took the portion of the barrel that was cut off, faced it off, turned it down on centers in the lathe. Cut the shank of the barrel a thousandth oversize, and cut threads. Here's the result.
