The red dot is great. I've cycled about 200-250 rounds through the gun, many of which were slugs and buckshot and it's kept zero throughout.

Here is an update on the red dot - it was good while it lasted. After about 300ish rounds it shit the bed. While shooting the day after a plate match it died on low brass target load. It shut off after every round. I returned it to Cabelas for a full refund and bought a TruGlo Fat Bead for the front. I also installed a Choate Mk5 Pistol Grip stock.

Pick up a Primary Arms dot. You've seen the abuse first hand what they can withstand!

Nah, I'm going to keep it with the Fat Bead only. This is a gun I put mine and my wife's life in. The Fat Bead with a lot of red Loctite is guaranteed not to fail. I can throw slugs pretty well with it too.
