BigJonBoy to answer your question on the cost of the build. First there is the cost of a Ruger 10/22, the "Chicago" kit, the special ribbed barrel, the drum, ruger mag, and shipping. Then all the parts, including the Ruger reciever were powder coated so that they all matched when it was assembled...
I would say there is a little over $900 invested.
whenever I bring it out to shoot I get a lot of attention. Some even think it is a real .45 Thompson. The walnut wood is beautiful and a well designed kit...
Thinking of putting it up for sale in the future.......
