I'm kidding - leave the Mini alone. A rifle with that commonality of parts an availability of inexpensive reliable magazines. Who wouldn't want one?

Kidding aside, it definitely is a great rifle for the price! Light weight,eats steel ammo, accurate and it just works. What more could you ask for? If I didn't have the mini and I was in the market for a rifle this would be my choice.

After I get a balls-to-the-wall accurate .308, it is entirely likely my first AR will be a S&W Sport.

Awesome AR-15! I have to say, you get a lot of "bang" for your buck! I have never had any issues with it and I have slightly modified it with new hand guard and front grip.

Except for a bikini scope cover this M&P15 Sport is finished. I kept under my budget and managed to setup the rifle exactly as I wanted it.
-Burris Fullfield II 2-7x35 / UTG max strength QD rings
-Ergo grip / extended latch
-Magpul BUIS / MOE handguard
-UAG 2pt sling

Yep, it was good gun day, was it not? That M1A is something else , I luv it. I still can't believe work was so slow I got to leave(this hardly ever happens) and on a "range day", none the less .....
I wish I had it all together for the shoot, but now I can look forward to sighting in.

Looks great Mike. I like the hand guard, have to look around and see which way I want to go with that. Gotta put away some $$ too.

I just ordered a Vortex Strikefire for mine. Should be here later this week.
