nvisn's mini review - Smith and Wesson M&P .40 Compact

I have been carrying concealed (and sometimes openly) now for 2 years. I have been through dozens of handguns trying to find the perfect one - Glocks, 1911s, pocket guns, you name it! After doing 2 weeks of solid research I knew the gun for me was going to come down to 2 guns, either a Glock (23 or 27) or the Smith and Wesson M&P .40C. The Glock 27 was a bit too small for my hand and made shooting the snappy .40 a bit of an issue, the 23 was a bit too big for my likes to carry concealed.

In comes the S&W M&P 40 Compact. Selling at $469 at Hoffman's (http://tinyurl.com/6nyzmtr) The 40C is an amazing compromise in size between the Mid and Sub line offerings from Glock, and it has ambidextrous controls, which, as a lefty I love. In my opinion the M&P also feels, points and looks much nicer than any Glock. The M&P also gets a literal +1 in the firepower department over the 27 with a solid 10+1 capacity

Today I put 350 flawless rounds down the pipe and I feel more than adequately armed with the M&P at my side:

The breakdown of my range trip was:

50 Rounds of Federal HST .40 - My wallet went ouch @ almost $1 a bang.
200 Rounds of Tulammo Steel
100 Rounds of Winchester White Box
