This one was a hell of a deal. The original owner won it in a raffle, then added the scope+mount and 2 extra magazines. Shot it enough to dial in the scope and hadnt used it since. I basically paid him what he actually spent on the gun.
I also have to admit that the Ruger 10/22 is a real fun gun and can be customized in so many ways. I am a member of Silver City Gun Club, which is a .22 club, and hold regular Friday night .22 plate matches with pistol, revolver only and rifle.
