Ha ha... you guys are a goof!
It's not rocket science...simply put, there are 7000 grains to a pound (we're talking smokeless powder, not gold, so it's the standard avoirdupois pound).
16 ounces of Trail Boss powder will load 3500 rounds at 2.0 grains each. (Yes, I realize that Trail Boss comes in a 9 oz. cannister... so, sue me!) These are light target loads that will punch clean holes in paper targets (bullseye shooting) all day long. Cast bullets and lubricant will be a bit dirtier than jacketed loads, but they are about the least expensive way to shoot alot for your buck.
