M1 Carbine Restoration

This is an Alpine M1 Carbine, one of the few non-GI carbines that is parts interchangable with a GI carbine. It was at an estate sale of some hoarder and the pipes burst in the house. I picked this gun up for $50

I spent $125.00 on a stock from the CMP and $15.00 for a GI rear sight (the one on the rifle was shot).

It turned out pretty OK, it shoots all rounds in the black at 100 yards on a 100 yard NRA target with my own cast reloads.

The stock shown is the one in the photo's that I re-finished. I have since replaced the stock shown with the walnut CMP stock.

Ahhh...I didn't notice the cast rounds in the pic earlier. Either way, they work.
