I am getting a suppressor for my preban 5.56 AR and another for my .308 Remmy 700.

I have been out of the C3 stuff for atleast 9 years now...... how many good cans are out there? I notice that SWR and Gemtech are still making them but who else am I missing?

Try and find a few people with various "cans" so you can hear them. A can designed for .308 is not as effcient as one designed for 5.56/.223. While in theory you can use the .308 can on the 5.56/.223 gun, it would be better to have one designed for that caliber.

If money is tight, get the .308 can first and try it on the 5.56 gun and if you can live with the sound, they just use the one can!

I have a YHM Phantom ( not the QD ) I bought for my .308.
I use it on an 11 inch AR with very favorable results.
