Action Shooting

According to their website, Rockville Fish & Game will be holding a 3-Gun Action Match on Sunday 8/21/11. Their site says:

- Match starts at 10am and is open to the public
- Firearms for match:
Centerfire pistol (no magnums)
Shotgun (lead birdshot no greater than #6)
Rifle (max is 30-06)
- Classes: Iron or Optic/Electric based upon pistol (???)
- Targets: paper and steel 10-75 yards
- No steel core or penetrator ammo
- the match director must approve all firearms, calibers, and ammo prior to match
- all firearms must be cased and unloaded at all times until the range officer directs you to uncase and load
- eye and ear pro us mandatory for all attendees, to include spectators

So, I've got a few questions....

Any Rockville F&G members out there? Anyone here ever participate in one of their matches?

Do you have to pre-register for matches at Rockville F&G? Or is registration the morning of the match?

What's the estimated round count for each weapon?

Anything else I should know?

Hoping to attend and participate in this one.

Best to contact the range director/event sponsor.
I've shot there in the past, but I used an 8mm which I guess is verbotten now. I showed up and signed up the day of the matches. Usual a hundred pistol and 50 rifle rounds should suffice, but always bring extra.
Again, the match director should be able to give you the current data.
Good luck.
