My wife is in the process of obtaining her CT permit, and starting to consider carry handguns. She's tried shooting various pistols and revolvers, but most of them are too heavy or the grip is too large for her comfort. Obviously, she has small hands. Anyone have any experience and/or advice on a su...

Hoffmans had 375-round boxes yesterday for around $25, limit one per customer per day. A Call To Arms in Enfield had 400-round boxes for $28, and several brands of 22LR in 50-round boxes. Northeast Firearms in Windsor Locks has 100-round bags for 8.95 and several brands in 50-round boxes. I haven't ...

Sig Sauer P290RS

Anyone have any opinions of, or experience with, the Sig P290RS?

I'm looking for a small pocket pistol or IWB carry for daily use, and I don't want to go with a .380 or smaller caliber.

Thanks!

I got this from the CT Gun Talk forum, which has some fairly knowledgeable moderators and users: Did you happen to tell/inform the FFL's you spoke with that with PA 13-3 (and PA 13-220) the threaded barrel is no longer one of the "evil" features? PA 13-3: http://www.cga.ct.gov/2013/ACT/PA/...

Thanks for the quick reply.

Can the suppressor be easily removed and just leave the bare threads?

As you can tell, I really want to buy it!

Ruger Mini-14 Legality

I'm trying to figure out if a Ruger Mini-14 model 5848 with a 5-round removable magazine is legal to buy in Connecticut? The rifle is stock from the factory and has a flash suppressor on it. Does the suppressor make it illegal in Connecticut, or can it be considered as a muzzle brake??? Totally conf...

Contacted Mike again, and the store opening is now scheduled for April 1st. It sounds like all of the details have been settled, so this should be a good date.
