I'll be carrying my G26 into NYC this evening for a night out with the wife, especially after yesterday's little incident. LEOSA is a wonderful thing ;)

btw, from what I understand, he was actually carrying concealed in a holster on the back of his belt. When he sat down, his shirt rode up and revealed. The dummy behind him freaked. I've heard the same thing, CC but it became exposed accidentally. If he had been carrying openly as he entered the mo...

I currently use the Magpul MIAD grip with the 'sand/skateboard' texture and love it! The Magpul MOE and MOE+ are great, too. I may have a Hogue grip that I removed from my RRA Entry Tactical when I replaced it with the MIAD, if anyone's interested? Just gotta find it... PM me here or send an email t...

I've heard good things about the Leatherman MUT. I would like to get one myself, someday. It's a little pricey $175. The Leatherman MUT is a great multitool and it's detailed here: http://www.leatherman.com/product/MUT Brownell's has them for $130 right now (non-EOD model): http://www.brownells.com...

Yeah, my Yugo SKS and Blue Trails roof have come together several times to place hot casings down the back of my shirt. Of course there's a good side to errant casings... Whenever I shoot with a girl, they always seem to get one in their bra and it's pretty fun to watch them get it out. Shirt off, ...

Wish I could have gone... Harwinton always puts together a great event. I worked 38 hours over this last weekend. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to attend any matches yet this year. :(

My first line of defense, behind an alarm system, is my 10 yrs old female Australian Shepherd.  She is very protective and excellent with kids, although it's her bark that will likely wake me, and everyone else in rye house, before the alarm system is triggered. http://img.tapatalk.com/aefc2540-44cd...

My worst one's have luckily only been from ejected brass. I once caught an ejected 9mm casing on the bridge of my nose caught up on my eye pro. And just last summer, I caught two (2) ejected 5.56 casings on the back of my neck during TD1 of the Redback One Tactical Carbine class held in Waterbury. T...

Saw this video clip from The Best Defense tv series while surfing the DownRange.tv site.  It's a stark reminder of how quickly someone with a blade or other hand-wielded implement can close that gap to you in a critical incident.  Food for thought... http://www.downrange.tv/blog/the-tueller-drill-sc...

So, shortly after I arrive for work this morning, one of my buddies who had been working the desk at HQ yesterday, asks me "you own a Glock, don't you?"  I answer in the affirmative. He asks, "9mm?"  Why, yes I do... He then shows me a shoebox that someone turned into him at the ...
