I like green. I find it easier to see in lower light than the red.

Sorry, I'm not on the forum nearly as much since I changed jobs and have been busier than usual.

So far, I don't have any plans for that weekend, so either day should work. The Yamaha is going in for service on Monday, but should be in top shape well before that weekend.

My system ended up being a 12 panel array. I think each panel is about 3'x5'. The lease term is 20 years, and total cost over the 20 years ends up being ~$9000. If I sell the house, I have the option of transferring the contract to the new owner, or just buying out the remainder of the lease and sel...

If anyone is interested, last summer I got solar installed on my house. I went through Solar City, which basically works out a lease contract with you based on current electricity rates. At least with me, we were able to work out a deal where I paid $0 up front, and it's about $37 a month. Right now...

Unfortunately, I'm going out of the country next week and then pretty busy for the next few following weeks, so I won't be around for any of this. Sorry to miss it - it'll probably be August before I have a whole weekend day free to go on a long ride.

I use the Hornady SSTs. They're kind of pricey, but I only go through a few boxes each season (mostly for target practice).

I use a Mossberg 500 with their rifled barrel. It's got a rail mount attached to the barrel, which I have a 2x scope on.

~4 inch groups at 100 yards, more than enough accuracy for any range I'll actually be seeing a deer at.

If you're not going to eat the carp, I'll gladly take it off your hands next time (assuming the drive is reasonable, and I'm not busy). Carp are pretty good on the grill.

Once I reach the point where I feel I should switch to a new job, I plan on looking a lot in Texas (where I grew up, so I know Houston fairly well, and know a lot of people there). Certainly less annoyances to deal with down there, and no state income tax, either.

I ride to work whenever the weather is nice and I'm not planning on going straight from work to somewhere else where it may be inconvenient to be on a motorcycle. That ends up being about 2-3 times a week for me.

For camping/hunting, I'd got with the .22LR.

I'd probably use my S&W 617 and my CZ 452. But there's any number of really nice .22's I'd go with.

CTShooting motorcycle ride?

Given the warmer weather, and how hard it is to find ammo, we might as well take advantage of gasoline still being available. I know there are some motorcyclists on here. Shall we try to get together for a few rides? I'm also willing to do non-motorized bike rides. Hopefully I'll have time to ride a...

Ready for warm weather

Because a certain Brit told me I should post pictures, I figured I'd do so to make him a bit jealous. I got the Triumph yesterday, and I've had the Yamaha since last fall. http://i588.photobucket.com/albums/ss330/Hermes_Huang/Motorcycles/P1050235_zps6c654d50.jpg http://i588.photobucket.com/albums/ss...

Does anyone know if surplus 7.62x54R is consider "armor-piercing" under the new law? I know there are metallic (magnetic) components in those bullets, but to what extent I have no idea. How about M855 5.56mm?
