Paul, All you need is a copy of the FFL that you are shipping the gun to for you files. Modern handguns have to go overnight via FedEx or UPS. Longarms can ship via ground. If you have a C&R and are shipping one, you can use the USPS and save a few bucks. Hope this helps you out. Most importantl...

Paul,
Looks pretty good. I like the contrast between the reddish wood and the silver. It looks like you blasted the screw heads. Am I correct? How long till it goes off to Novak?
Regards,
Chris

Very cool. I can't tell from the picture if you also did the slide stop. I bet it looks even better in person. Just a suggestion, maybe something to consider is to tape off the flat parts of the slide and then blast the grooves in the cocking serrations to clean them up. If you're feeling adventurou...

I never stripped the gun down to the frame but found directions online. Pretty straightforward. My plan was to wait till I was ready to go forward with the refinish before I disassembled it. I think having the frame and small parts glass bead blasted would give you a nice result. If you send Novaks ...

My plan was to strip the gun down to the frame and just bring what I wanted blasted to a local shop. There's a shop in Milford I was planning to use. I would have to look up the name of the company. I think if you are going to spend the money on Novak sights, it would be prudent to have Novak to do ...

I was actually planning on bead blasting the frame, hammer and the slide stop just to clean up the appearance. I think that would replicate the original frame finish perfectly. Don't get me wrong, mini Novak sights would look very cool and be an upgrade over the stock sights. But, between the shippi...

The large sea mammal type or the kind that keeps lubricants from leaking out? Either scenario is pretty funny in their own right.

Hoffmans Has 100 S&W M&P-15 Sports in Stock

$839.00 includes the gun, one P-Mag and some ammo. Quite the deal, at least with the prices being asked lately. I'm guessing they will be sold out by close of business today.

Hooligan, Any harsh cleaning of the metal and wood or "restoration" will kill the collector value. It's the easiest way to turn a $2000 all original k98 into a $600 gun. This is going on the assumption that the guns have never been dicked with. The best thing to do is remove the action fro...
