I enjoy shooting at my home range (Capitol City) and there is where I have shot my highest scores. Silver city is where I have shot the most perfect targets. Bridgeport is the nicest overall range to shoot at. Pop I like Cap City it's a great range and they have a good group of people there. I alwa...

I have heard a lot about people finding different ranges being difficult to shoot on. I do shoot better on my home range, but I think not shooting good on different ranges is psychological. What is your favorite range?

I have been away from the CTshooting website for a while. I did update my article on outdoor bullseye pistol shooting so I am taking down the old article and replacing it with this one. It's a long read, but will answer a lot of questions for new shooters. If you want an electronic copy of this whic...

I mentioned this in the pistol forum but want to repeat it hear. The Pistol Regional is on May 20 and 21 at the CSRRA Range next to Blue Trail. There also is a CMP (service pistol) leg match and NRA Distinguished Revolver Leg Match. You don't have to shoot the whole match, you can just shoot one gun...

Thanks, I've been shooting some decent scores, except that I bombed out at the All Star match. I even shot good in the first 2700 last Sunday in the pouring rain. Only six people showed up. Don't forget the Regional is May 20 and 21. It's a 2700, you can shoot one or two guns if you want. There's a ...

That's a Ruger Old Army in stainless steel. It's a fun gun to shoot but I haven't had time to shoot it in years. It makes a lot of smoke and noise. I was shooting it at Blue Trail one time and I had people comming down from the other end of the range to see what I was shooting.

I assume you are using a taper crimp die. Mine are about .472. I have an old Kart barrel on my bench that I use as a gage. When I'm loading I drop a round in the chamber every onece in a while to check it. If you are having problems take your barrel out of the gun and drop a few rounds in the chambe...
