Alright I (no pun intended) pulled the trigger today on my 1911, drum roll please... Went with a Rock Island armory 1911-A1 4" barrel. Paid $449.00 at Delta Arsenal and let me say the guys there are awesome very friendly and helpful it was my 1st time there and it won't be my last.

Okay so let ask this, if your choice's were the Ruger SR1911 OR one of the Philippine made version's for about $200 bucks less what would you do? Is the Ruger really worth the extra coin? Haha I do, did not want to say because I did not pick it up but it was at the Arms Exchange in Naugatuck I would call ahead to confirm the price and availability just to make sure. I had just come from the gun show and looked at a lot of items.

Found one for 369.00 plus tax yesterday I dod not pull the trigger (no pun intended) as I am saving for a 1911 but am considering going back to get it and then start over on my quest for the 1911. They also had two DB380's.
